My Mom, Henzie was a big animal lover, we always had so many pets, I find it difficult that I can't talk about our new puppy with her, she would have just so loved her. As a kid we had dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, you name it. If a critter needed a home, Mom would give them one. It is Henzie's fault that I have a taste for dodgy heavy metal, she was always hip and up with current music. She was always real popular with my friends and helped them out with their problems. She is very much missed by so many people.

A wonderful woman, that is how I remember Henzi. All the good words, kind, caring, funny and a little bit eccentric, always looking after us.

Henzi was a light at the end of my sometimes dim tunnel. She saved me (as well as any other strays) that passed by.

Her passion for life, to make a difference was relentless. Ban the bomb, stop animal testing, anything she took an interest in she fought for.

I would like the world to know that I have a special place in my heart for Henzi.

I wish our paths had not drifted so far apart but Henzi I would like you to know I am truely thankful for the years that we knew each other, for the years that you took me into your home and your heart.

God bless x

More than Auntie

Henzie was my moms sister, we were very close as we had ten years between us.
When I was younger I always spent weekends at my grandad and grandma's, Henzie lived at home then.
We spent a lot of time together,I think I used to drive her mad really as I probably got in the way.
The family used to go away together to Weston Super Mare, I was still with her, she used to give me money to go and play on the coin machines, think I got in the way of many lads who thought what a stunner she was.As you see from the pic.
She had the dark medditeranian look about her, she was fantastic.
Anyway later as I got older we both loved Bryan Ferry so went to many concerts together sometimes twice just to see Bryan.
We had some laughs.
She had so many friends from many years.
Although she suffered ill health over the latter years, she still kept her sense of humour.
I miss our chats about the dogs, music, Ela,( daughter) Caitlyn (Henzie's grandaughter) she was so proud of them.
I will miss her knowledge of which she had so much and her friendship, thoughtfulness and thoughts for others more than herself xxx till we meet again Marilyn
